Do not attempt to wire the INT2000 using these diagram alone. Much information including power and radio interface(s) is not found here. Refer to the INT2000 installation manual for further details.

You will notice 2 separate diagram contained in this document. The first (see below) is a simple intercom hook up
that allows the pilot exclusive control of the transmitter(s). the second diagram (reverse side) shows how the INT2000may be installed so both the pilot and his passenger may have control of the transmitters. The second option may be handy if the aircraft is to be used as a trainer where the pilot may desire to allow radio transmit capability to this passenger.

The AK-2A kit comes pre-wired with the switch installed on the end of a 16” cable. The AK-1A kit comes with all of the same parts required to install the switch either now or at a future date.

Soldering skills are required. All 4 jacks require the grounding lugs to be connected to appropriate black wire. The grounding lug is always the same lug connected to the ring nut used to attach the jack. Also note the mic jack (with the smaller hole) has 3 lugs. One mic jack lug, the one that corresponds to the tip the plug that fits into the jack is not used.

Each gray multi-conductor wire contains a foil shield and a drain wire. Jumper all wires that terminate at the DB25 connector and connect jumpers to pin 25. These is no need to ground shields at opposite ends.

INT2000 ACCESSORIES
The INT2000 is very versatile and may be mounted, wired interfaced in many configurations. The ‘key’ to the most practical and efficient use of the INT2000 is your choice of the proper accessories best suited for your airframe and operating requirements.
The basic INT2000 comes ready to operate (add battery) as a portable. However it may be upgraded at any time into a rechargeable portable or ever permanently mounted in any airframe where space allows. Below is a list of accessories including brief descriptions.
The installer can actually fabricate many of the accessories described however we suggest professional assistance. The AK-IN installation manual contains diagram and details on permanent mounting, wiring, fabricating interfaces plus adding technical data and is available with our AK-1A and AK-2A or separately.

PERMANENT INSALLATION
We offer 2 optional install kits (see below) for permanent installation. The AK-1A contains the DB-25 connector & hood assembly, 2 mile & 2 phone jacks, 2 push to transmit switches, 1 pilot or passenger transmit enable switch, 1 AI-1 aux audio input cord (for music, etc.), an AK-IN installation manual and hardware & enough wire to complete most jobs. The AK-2A contains all the above with a pre-wired and soldered DB-25 connector with the first 24” of wire tied off & marked. You complete by cutting the ends to length and soldering to jacks, switches and radios connections.

We offer a choice of 2 mounts. The MT-1A is a very simple panel mount kit that consists of 2 2” lengths of aluminum angle bracket and hardware; and requires a 2”x3” hole to be cut in the panel and 4 holes drilled. The MT-2A is a mounting bracket that attaches to the 2 pre-threaded holes at the center of both sides of the INT2000’s case. The INT2000 is wither hung (from top) or supported (from bottom) like a car CB radio or fish finder. It comes with thumbscrews and hardware.
