This guide contains details on the use and operation of the INT2000 as
a portable battery operated device. There is no instruction as to the
permanent mounting and wiring of this unit in this guidebook. For permanent
installation please refer to the AK-IN installation manual.
The INT2000 comes standard with one RI-1 radio interface cable that will
interface a single Delcom AIR960 )or other land mobile radio) and this
manual. A list of accessories for mounting and interfacing the INT2000
may be found on the last page of this manual.
BATTERY
The INT2000 may be powered in any of 3 different ways: Alkaline battery,
rechargeable battery or external 12VDC (see AK-IN manual for permanent
wiring.) Select battery ( not included), either a standard 9-volt alkaline
or a 7.2 volt NiCad Install battery by removing 6 screws (4 on top &
2 on bottom) and slide the module from case. Insert battery and reassemble.

charge the INT2000 only when a rechargeable battery is used. Do not attempt
to recharge the INT2000 when alkaline battery is used.
Time to recharge is generally 1 to 3 hours depending
on battery condition. The WC-300 wall charger that comes standard with
the AIR960 may be used. See rear page to order.

Notice the pre-drilled & threaded holes on the case. These are for
mounting the INT2000 to a hard surface. Mounting kits are available however
if you chose to design your own mounting method make sure screw ends will
not penetrate into unit causing shorts or other damage.

Music or 3 nd
Receiver may be plugged into .AUX・ jack on front panel if desired.

switch. Instructions and diagrams may be found at www.delcom.com.hk or
in the optional AK-IN install manual.

OPERATION
Priors to engine start make sure headsets (or helmets) are comfortably
fitted, radios are plugged in and all cords and hardware are secured.
Set frequencies and volume levels while interfere with normal flight operation.
A preflight routine where radios are set, tested & safety checked
should become a regular habit. Switch off INT2000 and radios before engine
start.
Turn power on to all radios and the INT2000. Select
receiver(s) to monitor by pushing Com1, Com2 or AUX buttons in. Passenger
also hears any audio selected by pilot. Pushing the button again (out
